Michael D. Clare

Michael Clare has over 20 years of experience in financial services and is a Senior Vice President and Senior Portfolio Manager with Brompton Group. Mr. Clare is a member of Brompton’s portfolio management team and is a co-manager of Brompton's ETFs and split share funds. He specializes in portfolio construction, security analysis, and covered call strategies with a focus on global equities and preferred shares. Mr. Clare frequently shares his views on financial markets as a guest on Bloomberg BNN. Prior to joining Brompton in 2012, Mr. Clare was a portfolio manager at Creststreet Asset Management Limited. He previously worked for Deloitte & Touche LLP as a manager in the assurance and advisory practice. Mr. Clare is a CFA charterholder and is a member of the Toronto CFA Society. He is also a Chartered Professional Accountant and a member of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario. He received an Honours Bachelor of Commerce degree from Queen's University.
